Tapering, daytime TV and my last tough session

The final tough session was completed yesterday. Now to rest ready for Saturdays opening stage of the haute route Dolomites. I'm very excited to see if, and by how much, the weight loss and power increase has effected my climbing speed.

This last week I've had a lot more rest between sessions. I have been a bit lost some days with the extra time as the mileage has shrunk so much. Daytime TV has become my friend (with plenty of afternoon naps).

You can see on the attached picture (below) today's session was lots of fun - three hours in the garage on the static bike. I was a bit nervous of doing this session. I was originally scheduled to do it Friday, but I felt my legs needed the extra days rest to ensure I hit the right numbers. After seeing my good friend and coach last night he was pleased with my numbers after recovery from the food poisoning. Let the racing begin...

My next blog will hopefully be upon my arrival in Venice (as long as I can find wi-fi). I'm also hoping to do an update for each stage.

Thanks for reading.
